Veera Pyykkönen

I was born in 1985 in Oulu, Northern Ostrobothnia.

We moved to a small rural village when I was 4 years old. As a child, I watched as my mother made the finest works with her hands, from fabrics to pottery. I also started experimenting how different materials behave. At the same time, I listened to the children’s songs from the c-cassette and sang along. Singing became one of my passion in addition to doing everything else creatively.

I have always been interested in different forms of art and expression. I tried to put myself on a squirrel wheel for a long time, and I was hit by various jobs with the hope that I would find a place where I would feel good to be, or at least be fine with the job.

That did not happen. I began to think what I truly deeply wanted to do. As a result of a long self-discovery and self-reflection, I finally learned that I am a multi-passionate person. It’s not natural for me to focus on just one thing I want to do for the rest of my life.

In 2020, I decided to listen to my heart as a multipassionate-artist and put all my qualifications into practice. I created my own business where I can do different kind of creative work and implement myself. Now I do things I love: I sing, I paint, I make music, textile art, my own products, the work of an actor and a voice actor.

My new love is to record the sounds of nature from different places. Nature is also a place where i calm myself and get grounded. It is also one of my greatest sources of inspiration. Creativity, on the other hand, is one of my most important assets, giving me the fundamental power to be myself.

I endlessly enjoy brainstorming and designing, as well as making art and enjoying the end result. Customer service, productization and service design are also close to my heart. It is important for me to constantly evolve and be open to new things. This is how I can create things that bring new thoughts, feelings and experiences to people.

I am currently working on all the jobs I love, and I am strengthening my own kind of entrepreneurship by developing my skills and listening to myself.

When there is art and culture in life, I feel that life is more interesting and experiential. So hip huraa to the art and culture!!
